The Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 trailer, second by second
Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, adapting The Titan's Curse, premieres on Disney+ on 20 November 2026. We scanned a 2:10 upload of the season 3 trailer on YouTube with v2neuro, our brain-encoding model trained on fMRI recordings, and charted the predicted brain response for every second. Like the Nobody Wants This season 3 trailer we scanned the same day, it saves its strongest stretch for the end.
A slow first half-minute
The trailer opens on narration about a dream of the great prophecy and the Titans, running from 0:03 to 0:32. Across the first three seconds the predicted response sits below the trailer's own median of 0.53, and it stays below that line for almost the whole first 28 seconds, mostly between 0.30 and 0.50.
The first real climb starts at 0:29 and reaches 0.75 at 0:33, around the lines "Love has the power to start wars" and "And it has the power to end them".
Two high points before the minute
The curve rises again to about 0.95 from 0:44 to 0:46, at the end of the line "If we're going to survive a war with the Titans, it will be because of love".
The highest point of the first half comes at 0:52, at 1.19, just before the single word "Enemy!".
The steepest fall: 0:58 to 1:01
The fastest drop in predicted response runs from 0:58 to 1:01. The curve then reaches its lowest second, 0.19 at 1:03, straight after "You didn't want her, you wanted me".
A second low of about 0.23 comes at 1:30, in the pause before "If it came down to a choice between me and Olympus, you'd burn it to the ground". At 1:40 the curve jumps from 0.45 to 0.91 on "Is this how ghosts normally go?".
The peak comes in the wordless close
After "Pretty much" at 1:50, the trailer has no more dialogue until a single word at the very end. From 1:51 the curve climbs from 0.65 to 1.70 by 1:57, the strongest second in the trailer, and it stays above 1.0 from 1:55 to 2:06. The visual system leads the response at the peak.
That close sits far above everything before it: the peak at 1:57 is more than three times the trailer's median, and well above the 1.19 reached at 0:52.
Two streaming trailers, one shape
Netflix's Nobody Wants This season 3 trailer and this Disney+ trailer are very different shows, but in both scans the strongest stretch comes after the last spoken line, in the final twenty seconds. Both also let the predicted response sit below their median for long stretches of the middle.
If you cut trailers or ads, that is a pattern worth testing on your own work: scan two versions, one with a tighter middle, lay the curves over each other and see how many seconds each keeps above its median.
